Below are comments and thoughts from folks that attended past conventions and have been:
Inspired Trained Equipped Encouraged
I have looked forward for many years to each CMTA event. The workshops are filled with practical and inspirational idea. The speaker/participant interaction is outstanding. I think CMTA is a perfect time to bring people from your church and get some excellent training while you build relationships. I hope you take advantage of this year’s CMTA. It has something for everyone in your church.

and Confident ParentingI really enjoyed the coventions when I first started to go in the 1980's. The classes were all new and pertinant to the ministry. It's always exciting to come to see what is next in how to minister to God's people, from a layman's poiny of view. You should keep things fresh and exciting, so that the long time attenders won't dismiss the convention because they've already gone through all the classes already. As a retired Teaching Ministries Director my interest systematic training for Bible teachers has actually grown. Teacher training is the subject of both my writing and mentoring activities.
When I directed five teaching ministries of a local church, I required a high commitment from volunteer teachers. The result was a strong commitment from them. The regular teachers were required to complete a "Basic" training on the "Teaching Process" and to participate in a continuous training program. That included a home study in Teaching Basics by D. Dale with a Final Exam, an in-house seminar in the Spring and GLASS in the fall. Annual participation in two events was required to maintain their Teacher Certification as Regular (not Subs) Teachers.Without GLASS a cornerstone of effective Bible teaching would be lost from this community.
Thank you for giving me this special opportunity in CMTA.

Simi Alliance Church, Simi Valley, CAAlmost very good thing I've done in Christian education over the past 25 years has stemmed from things I learned at the GLASS convention. Our Children's ministry is immeasurably better. I've learned how to recruit and train teachers. We've learned how to make the Bible come alive, how to creatively use excellent tools that enhance our teaching. We've learned how to tell great stories, effectively use colorful visual aids, how to use puppets for all kinds of fun and applications. Music we've obtained from the Doughnut Man, One Way Street and others has transformed our worship. Countless children have received a much richer Christian education and experience due to the many classes, exhibits and encouragement we have received from the GLASS convention. (formerly Bethany Chapel)I attended my first convention in 1996 while I was at Fuller Theological Seminary. It was a tremendous experience that I will never forget. The faculty were 100% there for every person attending the workshops. The practical nature of the workshops were so immediately applicable it helped me the next week in church ministry. Thank God for CMTA!

Pasadena First Church of the NazareneI used to live in the LA area and attended the conventions. They are very well organized and implemented. They are worth the extra time and expense it takes to get there from Texas.
Thanks for all the hard work it takes to put on a convention like that of the CMTA.

Greetings CMTA! Another wonderful memorable convention! A heartfelt thanks to Marion and her board for planning a fine program for us - choices for everyone.
I enjoyed all the sessions I attended, and the keynote speaker, Ken Hutcherson, gave us much to think about, in a delightful way! Blessed by CMTA (GLASS) for many years

Where does one start when commenting on CMTA/GLASS Conventions? I've attended the last 31 conventions and looking forward to many more the Good Lord willing. I've always tried to attend the workshops that supported the of Christian Education that I was involved in at the time (High School, College, Young Marrieds and Adults).
I always found the workshops and the instructors to be top notch. Also, the registration fees and the luncheon fees have always been unbelievably low. In industry my company paid as much as $1,000 day for me to attend a seminar. Keep up the good work, and keep going until He comes again.
